Description:
Every 12 years, a new Chinese zodiac year begins. This cycle symbolises time and the passing of it.
2023 marks the start of the Year of the Rabbit, an animal thought to bring luck, kindness & good fortune. The energy associated with this season inspires community building and togetherness.
The rabbit is associated with kindness, loyalty, and trustworthiness. They often see situations from both sides allowing them to come up with creative solutions to difficult problems. This may be why people born in the Year of the Rabbit are often considered some of the wisest and most kindhearted members of society.
Meticulously crafted from 1/4 oz of pure gold with intricate design, this coin from the Australian Lunar Series is an excellent gift for anyone born under the Chinese lunar year of the rabbit.
Design & Features
The Year of Rabbit 2023 coin portrays a rabbit hopping in grass, flourishing in its natural habitat. Included in the design is the Chinese character for ‘rabbit’, the inscription ‘RABBIT 2023’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
The obverse depicts the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the coin’s weight, purity and monetary denomination.
Security
Each coin’s back side includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design. It can only be detected under a magnifying glass and makes it significantly more difficult for the coin to be counterfeited.
